PADR is Pak Association of Dental Research. It is the Pakistan Section of International Association of Dental Research (IADR). PADR was established in 2011. Aim of this organization is to bring together dentists from all over the country, provide a platform for international promotion of dental research and help its progression in our country. I am honoured to be given the opportunity to work towards the fulfilment of mission of this organization.
Belonging to a profession in which the foundational attribute of its members is intellectual curiosity and critical analysis, it is of utmost importance to promote and facilitate the research culture in our community. Cultivation of knowledge and a quest for research in younger generation is a mandatory ability for problem solving. In the past few years in particular, there has been a global paradigm shift in the dentistry towards evidence based practice. We firmly believe that only through progress in this arena will truly help us augment our position in global dentistry.
To promote research culture, we are planning research symposia and workshops in majority cities of Pakistan, through out the year. These non profit activities will help us in reaching out to those professionals who are away from main stream dentistry. These can prove as an asset in promotion of evidence based practice.

The 7th PADR Annual Conference 2020 is going to be held in the historical city of Lahore, Institute of Dentistry, CMH Lahore Medical College. The core theme of this conference is "Clinical Dentistry; From biology to technology". Dentists from all over the world will be participating to deliver lectures, provide hands on workshops and panel discussions for the post graduates. It will be a great opportunity for up coming dentists to interact with national and international specialists. The exchange knowledge and intel about the latest trends and technological shifts will provide opportunities for under graduates and post graduates to share their work. A Hatton award research competition for post graduates will encourage them to do researches and present them to the world. I firmly believe that the young generation of dentists will continue to take forward the tremendous legacy set by their predecessors and make the dentist community of Pakistan admired and venerated worldwide. So as President, on behalf of PADR, I invite professionals at all levels to participate fully and benefit from this globally interactive academic experience.
We shall continue to work tirelessly to make this organization progressive and internationally acclaimed. I urge you all to participate fully to make it a memorable and successful event.
